HANNAH

A beautiful orange Angora named Hannah was taken in at Clinton Veterinary Hospital in Clinton, Mass by a technician that knew she still had much love to give. She was a diabetic diagnosed shortly after her owner of 13 years passed and cared for by a family friend. Her diabetes proved to be difficult for the owner to control and was seeking help. The options were to euthanize or surrender to the hospital on a whim knowing she was not ready to say goodbye.

Two months after being surrendered, Hannah was in diabetic remission and no longer required insulin on a daily basis. She continued her days on the ack porch enjoying the warm sun and dinnertime with her adopted Persian brothers, Moby and Dilly. She was a fighter until the end. On August 29, 2022, we said goodbye to Hannah and she gave every fighting chance she had. No matter what, she wanted to keep going.

Hannah is our hero and encouragement to know that many, if not all, senior kitties deserve every chance to continue sharing their love and companionship. Let Hannah be the reason to help allow our senior feline friends to remain on this earth as long as they were intended.

LUCKY

Given her name, Lucky, a 12 year old DLH, was taken in after her owner fell ill and was left alone in her home for over a month. Going an extended time without sufficient human contact and feeding, she quickly developed pancreatitis from lack of proper nutrition causing her to lose a significant amount of weight initially.

She was taken in by a family member and has since been resolved of pancreatitis. She is on a special diet and is closely monitored for any changes and has since found her kitten energy and happiness she once had. She is able to enjoy days with other feline housemates and will never have to be alone again. Thank you to her rescuer and know she will live her fullest to the end.

SAKURA

Sakura is a senior kitty that was presented to be euthanized in March of 2021 due to her
back legs being paralyzed. However, she was bright, alert, vocal, purring and was owner surrendered. After blood work and X-rays. She was shown to be a diabetic and constipated kitty.

With proper care and medication, she regained use of her back legs, with Diabetic Neuropathy setting in, they will never be fully returned to normal, but with diet, proper insulin dosages, and constipation meds, she is still going strong living a spoiled kitty life.
